Finding Peace Within - A Message From My Darling Girl (S16 BONUS)
Tap to send me your reflections ♡
After several episodes filled with depth, wisdom and vulnerability, I felt called to share something special with you - a beautiful piece of writing from the second volume of My Darling Girl. A piece that appeared when I opened the book at random. The synchronicity feels perfect for this moment.
The passage speaks to that universal experience of returning to centre:
"And then here we are, safe once more, the spiralling thoughts have spun out of existence, the bird in your ribs has fluttered to calm, the soft breath is now reaching your belly and peace lays on your lips like a balm."
These words remind us of our innate capacity to find stillness amid chaos, to release resistance and discover that profound sense that "all is okay."
What makes this wisdom particularly powerful is how it honours the full spectrum of human experience. As I reflect in this episode, true self-work isn't about toxic positivity or pretending everything's fine when it isn't. Rather, it's developing the ability to acknowledge when things feel difficult while also recognising moments of light and joy.
This balanced awareness - being able to notice and articulate both the challenges and the brightness in our lives - forms the foundation of genuine self-knowledge and inner peace. Wherever you are today, may this brief but heartfelt episode offer a moment of calm and a gentle reminder that you can always return to your centre.
What parts of your experience might be waiting for your acknowledgment today?
With love

After all the depth and the wisdom and the vulnerability of the last few episodes, I felt strongly that it was time to come and share a little bonus, a piece of writing from the wisdom of my darling girl, and this piece is actually from the second volume. I opened the book at random and honestly, my darlings, I couldn't believe how perfect this feels, and maybe it resonates for you too. And then here we are, safe once more, the spiralling thoughts have spun out of existence, the bird in your ribs has fluttered to calm, the soft breath is now reaching your belly and peace lays on your lips like a balm, a smile of acceptance that all is okay, a release of resistance and all is okay. An inner awareness and all is okay, an inner awareness it is all okay For you, surrendered into the all, wishing you the most beautiful day ahead.
Speaker 1:The sky is blue where I am, the birds are singing and the sun is shining, and I think that part of this work, this deep work to get to know ourselves, to be with ourselves, to be with all that we are experiencing, part of that is also being able to see what is light and bright and joyful in our lives, not with a um, what's that phrase? Toxic positivity. You know the the pretending, the stiff upper lip, the rose-tinted glasses not with that, but to be able to notice when things feel hard and to be able to say that. And to be able to notice when things feel light and to be able to say that. So, wishing you a light filled day and I look forward to being here again with you soon, Sending you a hug and a wave, thank you.
